Questions from

1. You are a fun lunch date. What is your very favorite restaurant of all, and what's the best thing on the menu?
Doe Bay Cafe on Orcas Island has the best food evar. They use whatever random organic/fresh stuff they get out of their garden, their bay, and farmers nearby. The best thing on the menu is whatever they are serving right now. They're amazing!
2. Your life story comes out in theaters! Who plays you? Who are the supporting characters and who plays them?
I'd like to be played by Drew Barrymore. Child me in flashbacks can be played by a muppet. My dad would be played by Philip Seymour Hoffman because I think he could pull it off. My dad is a sort of complex guy. My ex husband is probably in there somewhere, played by Oliver Platt (:P), and my first Seattle-based friend Michael would probably find a way to play himself. He's a rockstar like that.
3. Who is your favorite author? Which of his books would you recommend to me?
I'm feeling the Clive Barker right now. He's fantasy/horror-y goodness. I'd recommend the Abarat Quintet, though it's not quite done yet. Book #3 is next year! I'd like to re-read The Great and Secret Show, because I think I'd look at it differently now.
4. What is your favorite local band? What kind of music is it? When did you last see them and where?
Abney Park! <3! I saw them at the Columbia City theater most recently, several months back. They're steampunk-gypsy-occasionally-goth music. :)
5. Got any advice for me?
Don't do anything until you've taken 10 long breaths.

It was great! Nicely stylish, excellent witty dialogue, enjoyable (and reasonably coherent story). Highly recommended, particularly if you liked Guy Ritchie's other movies (Lock Stock, Snatch).

I am addicted to caffeine.
I hate diet soda.
Understanding:
Smokers that look at a mostly smoked cigarette butt and consider smoking it.
Experience:
I am all out of Coke, it is 3:00am and I looked at a half full 2 day old can of coke and thought about it for a moment. Only a moment but that is enough to be humbling.

PS: I've been reading Dave Barry's stuff since I was like... 7. That means he's sorta old now but I still love him.
